Client has issued the invitation to bid (ITB) for an offshore package part of this mega project. Prequalified contractors received the ITB for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) works on package 2 in the second week of August 2019. Package 2, whose main scope of work entails building the Ghasha processing plant and central living quarters. Technical bid submission date is currently set for 26 September, 2019.  The commercial bids are meant to be submitted by December 2019. Project management consultancy firms have also submitted bids for project management consultancy (PMC) roles for the four Hail and Ghasha EPC packages. Bids were submitted by the deadline of 5 August, 2019 for the PMC roles for the EPC packages. Eight of the major firms, invited by the client to bid for its proposed PMC pool, submitted bids for the Hail and Ghasha PMC positions:

Contractors are working on technical bid submissions for the main package on this scheme. The new technical bid submission date is 7 November 2019.

Client is studying bids, as well as having regular clarification meetings and technical discussions with bidders. It is yet to set the commercial bid submission dates. Contracting entities bidding for the project include;
