Saudi Aramco has received bids for the project to develop an independent wastewater treatment plant (IWTP) at the Ras Tanura complex. At least two companies submitted bids for the wastewater treatment plant, including Metito and Miahona. Saudi Aramco’s complex at Ras Tanura is one of the world’s largest crude oil terminals, with a refining capacity of 550,000 barrels a day (b/d). The winning bidder will not only develop the wastewater treatment plant, but also a 22km-long treated sewage effluent (TSE) pipeline.
Bids are currently under evaluation for the main contract on this scheme.
