At least five companies have been prequalified for the contract. The prequalified companies include:

Saipem (Italy)
Daewoo Engineering & Construction (South Korea)
Hyundai Engineering & Construction (South Korea)
IHI Corporation (Japan)
Contractors have submitted technical bids for a package to construct liquified natural gas (LNG) storage tanks and export facilities as part of the North Field Expansion (NFE) project. The package is known as EPC 2 and is estimated to be worth $1.5bn. The five companies that submitted bids before the 29 October deadline are:
McDermott (US)
Saipem (Italy)
Hyundai E&C (South Korea)
IHI Corporation (Japan)
Samsung C&T (South Korea).
Contractors have been set a July 2020 deadline to submit commercial bids for onshore engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) work on the project. The project client is understood to be planning to award the contracts in September or October 2020.
