The submission deadline for bids is pending announcement, with technical bids expected in January, 2024 and commercial submissions in February, 2024. Among the notable bidders vying for these projects are China Petroleum Engineering & Construction (CPECC), ENPPI, Archirodon, and Kent, all bidding for the expansion of both onshore fields.
At least three leading international contracting players or consortia have submitted bids to client for a sizeable engineering, procurement and construction project involving the expansion of its South East onshore asset. The EPC process forms part of client's P5 production enhancement plan aimed at increasing Abu Dhabi's crude production to 5 million barrels per day by 2027, up from the existing 4 million bpd. The surface facilities required for the on-plot expansion work at the South East onshore asset includes EPC work on the Asab and Sahil onshore.
Client is nearing the decision phase on two prized engineering, procurement, construction and management (EPCM) contracts for this project. Commercial offers for the two EPCM deals were recently submitted by up to five players, with the operator likely to award the contracts within weeks.
